As the Ozarks come alive with the colors of Fall, we invite you to join us in historic Eureka Springs for a fun and inspiring weekend of wellness, adventure and meaningful connection! Enjoy YOGA, TAI CHI, QIGONG and a Blue Zones -inspired COOKING CLASS as you relax, recharge and reset amid the beauty of the Fall Season. Enhance your retreat experience with optional HORSEBACK RIDING through the scenic Ozark mountains and a peaceful FLOAT TRIP along the beautiful White River.
Inspired by the strength, vitality, freedom and forward momentum of the Year of the Horse, this retreat is your invitation to reset and embrace the season with renewed energy and purpose.
By joining us, you'll also be giving back. A portion of every retreat registration will support Horse Spirit Society, a nonprofit organization that empowers Lakota youth through horsemanship, cultural traditions, leadership, and healing experiences.

Whether you're looking to relax, reconnect with yourself, spend meaningful time in nature, explore wellness practices, meet new people, or simply enjoy a fun and memorable Fall getaway, this retreat offers a welcoming space to do just that.
No experience is necessary — beginners, curious newcomers, and experienced practitioners are all warmly welcome. Come solo, bring a friend, partner, or family member, and enjoy a weekend centered around movement, mindfulness, adventure, community, and the beauty of Fall in the Ozarks.

Through mindful movement and walking practice, you'll explore the art of being fully present while cultivating balance, stability, relaxation, and inner calm. This beginner-friendly session offers a welcoming introduction to the flowing movements and principles of Tai Chi.

Inspired by the longevity research of Dan Buettner—explorer, author, and creator of the Blue Zones movement and Netflix series Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones—this interactive session explores simple lifestyle habits that support long-term health, vitality, and well-being.

Cooking class inspired by The Blue Zones Kitchen: 100 Recipes to Live to 100 by Dan Buettner
Tea Talk with Maria Chowdhury
Explore the health benefits of tea and discover which varieties are best suited for the Fall Season with herbalist and founder of Birth Song Botanicals, Maria Chowdhury. Learn how different teas support wellness, energy, and seasonal balance. Tea sampling and select blends will be available for purchase.
Lunch will be served buffet-style featuring "Fall Favorites from the Blue Zones"

This gentle and restorative practice combines breath, mindful movement and relaxation techniques designed to increase energy, reduce stress and create a deeper sense of connection between body and mind.

Take time to pause, enjoy light bites and refreshments and absorb the experiences of the day. Together we'll reflect on the lessons of movement, mindfulness and connection while appreciating the beauty of the Ozarks and the changing season. Horseback Riding (OPTIONAL)
As a memorable close to our Saturday retreat, join us for an optional guided horseback ride through the scenic Ozark mountains. In the Year of the Horse, this experience offers a special opportunity to connect with the qualities the Horse represents—freedom, strength, presence, and trust. The peaceful pace of the ride and the beauty of the fall landscape create the perfect setting to reflect on the day's experiences and connect with nature.

Group Dinner, Bonfire, Drinks & Live Music (OPTIONAL)
Gather with fellow retreat guests for a relaxed evening of live music, delicious food, craft beverages, laughter, and connection around the bonfire. This casual pay-your-own-way gathering is a fun way to unwind, celebrate the day and continue enjoying the spirit of the retreat together.

Group Float on the White River (OPTIONAL)
Our retreat weekend concludes with a scenic five-mile float on the beautiful White River surrounded by the stunning colors of Fall. This relaxing outdoor experience offers time to slow down, enjoy nature, connect with others, and take in the beauty of the Ozarks at an easy pace.

Our group will meet at 10 AM at Riverview Country Store, where we’ll be shuttled to Dam Site Park before floating back to Riverview Country Store. Please bring a light lunch or snacks, sunscreen, water, and optional fishing gear.
Meet Your Instructors
Jason Salgado
Jason is a longtime student of 15th-generation Wudang Sanfeng Kung Fu Master Zhong Xuechao (Master Bing), with over fourteen years of training since beginning Wudang Qigong and Taiji in Southern California in 2012 and multiple trainings in the Wudang Mountains in China.
Jason teaches Zhan Zhuang, Eight Pieces of Brocade, Five Animal Qigong, and Wudang Taiji forms throughout Northwest Arkansas. He has performed and taught at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, volunteered teaching Qigong to veterans at the Fayetteville VA, and presented for Parkinson’s support groups at Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine. In 2026, he was featured as an instructor at Big Cedar Lodge’s Wellness in Nature retreat. (www.OzarkTaiChi.com)
Maria Chowdhury
Maria is a Holden Qigong instructor and herbalist who guides students through embodied practices that weave ancient wisdom with modern insight. Her teaching supports nervous system regulation, energy restoration, and a deep reconnection to inner vitality.
In her classes and workshops, Maria draws inspiration from nature’s cycles, offering movements that balance activation and restoration while cultivating harmony and wholeness. Her approach invites participants to move with grace, ease, and joy, remembering that every movement is a step toward a more vital, grounded way of living.
Susan Gaines
Susan retired after 21 years as an elementary school teacher, a career rooted in patience, curiosity, and care—qualities she brings naturally to her yoga teaching. She began her yoga journey as a student over 12 years ago and completed her 500-hour yoga teacher training. When she’s not on the mat, Susan enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, and traveling. She believes deeply in the transformative power of yoga and is passionate about sharing the joy and balance of the practice with others.
Charmaine Salgado
Charmaine's love language is food — and feeding everyone around her. Her passion for sharing meals and meaningful experiences inspires every class she teaches. Her culinary journey began in the Philippines, where her family owned two restaurants, and continued through growing up in the vibrant Southern California food scene. Along the way, she has gathered recipes and inspiration from her travels, blending tradition with personal discovery. Now based in Arkansas with her husband Jason, Charmaine shares her cooking experiences through classes and wellness retreats. She further honed her craft by earning her culinary degree from Brightwater: A Center for the Study of Food in Bentonville, AR where she deepened her commitment to creating nourishing, flavorful meals that bring people together. We are excited that this year's retreat will be hosted at the beautiful La Grange Lavender Farm in Eureka Springs. The farm's centerpiece is an 83-year-old barn that once served as a hay storage and cattle feeding barn. Today, this lovingly restored landmark—La Grange, which means "the barn" in French—has been transformed into a charming event venue surrounded by rolling hills and fragrant lavender fields.
Rich in history and rustic elegance, the barn provides a warm and inviting setting for gatherings, celebrations, and special events. We are honored to share this unique and beautiful space with you as we come together for a memorable weekend of wellness, friendship, and connection.

Complimentary on-site parking is available.
Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement and relaxation. We recommend bringing a yoga mat, journal and pen for notes or reflection, along with warm layers and cozy socks for the Fall season.
